NEXT ASBP BLOOD DRIVE - MARCH 3d
The next scheduled Armed Services Blood Drive is March 3d. Our Troops need your blood badly. The last Blood Drive netted only 75 pints, way below what is needed, so please roll up your sleeves, eat your raisins before arriving, and give what you can. Please read the attachment for full details.
FORMER POST MEMBER IS TRAVELING
I sent an email to a former member of Post 797 to see if he would be interested in coming back to Post 797 and got a response I had not expected. David Whitt is now living in Bankok, Thailand, and said he is now traveling the Orient and soon will be leaving this location to visit another one. He sent me a short video of the area he is now in and has a Facebook page that all can visit to see all his photos he has posted. Veterans comprise approximately 30 percent of all mesothelioma diagnoses due to asbestos-contaminated products that were used by the military, primarily by the Navy, from the 1930s through the 1970s. Pleural mesothelioma can be treated with surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation.
PAID UP FOR LIFE Fees to Rise - SEE CHART BELOW
Effective October 1st, 2009, the fee for Paid UP For Life will rise. If you intended to pay for a PUFL Card, you must do it before October 1st, or you will have to pay the new fees. The last week of September the old chart will be removed and the new one put in it's place, so hurry.
