POST 797 MEMBERS - PLEASE READ & RESPOND

As the Post Adjutant for American Legion Post #797 I am responsible for maintaining the database for all members and prospective members of the Post.  In doing so, there are times when a member must be contacted, or there is general information that needs to be sent out to every member having email capability.  In order to do this and keep up with our members, it is important that the database be maintained as current as possible.  To do this I am asking that every member of the Post please email me with their correct email address and phone number where they can be reached s

MILITARY FAMILY NEEDS HELP

Mr. Biggins recently had surgery on injuries received in Afghanistan and his home in Columbuscaught fire and completely destroyed their home and everything in it.  The family consists of a wife and her 4 children, boys ages 13 & 2, girls ages 6 & 4, and they are homeless, with the husband now being treated as an outpatient, but who was living at home. 

UPCOMING EVENTS - CHECK CALENDAR

The Post has added some upcoming events that may require a response from anyone who might want to attend the event on the appropriate calendar for that event.  You need to check ahead each month to see what is upcoming as there are times when you cannot be sent out an email for everything that is happening that you may want to attend.  Please check the calendar often!!   Here are some examples:

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

The Gahanna Post of the American Legion was founded in 2002, with Gahanna veterans of various military backgrounds coming together to form a unit that started  with 26 veterans.  Since then, we have grown to a present 390 members, having been joined by veterans from other communities, who, having a dedication to serving their country and community, have put their efforts towards serving the community of Gahanna by providing High School students the opprtunity to play American Legion Baseball, to participate in the Oratorical Contests conducted annually, to attend the Buckeye
